The Executive Board of the Kent County Agricultural Society have for some time been working on a project which has been named Detling Downs.  The reason for this project is to secure the future of the Kent County Show as a beacon for the rural community and a provider of hope for future generations of country folk.  We want to make sure that the agricultural community is not forgotten and maintains a high profile amongst other industry leaders.

As most of us are all to well aware, farming is under threat from global competition and this is a real threat to rural landscapes but hopefully this Detling Downs project will turn this threat into a window of opportunity for the Members of the Society.

At present the project is in its infancy so the information contained within this site is not set in stone but mearly a wish list for the future of the Kent Showground.  As the project moves forward and more information becomes available this site will be updated.
